2013 Summer Reading Kickoff! with Magician Rick Eugene Brammer!
Friday, May 31st at 7:00pm outside the Library. Kickoff the summer programs with Crafts, Popcorn, Snow Cones, and special guest , Magician Rick Eugene Brammer!
Soil Science & Garden to Go
Tuesday, June 11th at 6:30pm. Learn about soil science with the Grout Museum's Jason Dornbush.
Amazing Adaptations
Tuesday, June 18th at 6:30pm. What kind of adaptations would an animal living underground need? This fun and interactive program will answer that question. Children will meet animals from different habitats and discover why these adaptations are important for their survival. Learn all about these animals with Blank Park Zoo's Samantha Dunn.
Diggers
Tuesday, June 25th at 6:30pm. Learn about the different digging machines used in West Branch with the West Branch Public Works Department.
Rocks & Minerals
Tuesday, July 9th at 6:30pm. Learn all about rocks and minerals with Cedar County Naturalist Sarah Subbert.
What's Neat Beneath Our Feet
Tuesday, July 16th at 6:30pm. Come join the Science Center of Iowa in an exciting program where we will discover that there is more beneath our feet than just dirt! Don’t just scratch the surface—from dinosaurs to diamonds to drilling we will dig into it all!
Caves
Tuesday, July 30th at 6:30pm. Learn all about Caves with the National Park Service's Kristin Gibbs.
Weekly Programs
Snack and Stories
Mondays at 1:30pm at the library. Stories followed by an activity. Snack is provided- please bring your own drink.
Thursday Theater
Thursdays at 1:30pm in the library community room. Movie and snacks. Please bring your own drink. Call the library for the movie schedule.
Preschool Storytime
Fridays at 10am at the library. Stories followed by a craft.
