The library offers a disc repair service.  Most DVDs, CDs, Bluray discs, and game discs with scratches can be repaired to a like-new state.  Cost of using the service is $1 per side fixed.  

Note: the library is offering this as a community service.  In every case run on library discs, the disc has come out in significantly better condition than before the repair.  Discs are run through the machine at your own choice and the library is not responsible for any damage caused in the process.
